To prevent fading of fabrics and leather over time, avoid placing upholstery in direct sunlight or near sources of heat or moisture.
• Occasionally vacuum your upholstery and use upholstery and crevice attachments to remove loose particles.
• Spot clean upholstery with a clean, absorbent, unstained cloth that absorbs ink. Blot from the outside towards the middle of the contaminated area to prevent rings. Never scrub.
• Before cleaning, test for color loss and compatibility by applying a small amount of furniture cleaner to hidden parts of the fabric.
• If you are mixing cleaners, dilute the mixture with distilled water. Be careful not to over-wet your furniture.
• Avoid excessive friction and never use a stiff brush to clean fabrics as this can damage the fibers.
• For best results, carefully follow all cleaning product directions. Don't over apply.
• All fabrics can pilling from friction and normal wear, as daily use loosens the fibers. Occasionally use a fabric (or "sweater") razor to gently remove the pill. Once the loose fibers are removed, pilling should decrease.
• For general cleaning or cleaning of any excessively soiled upholstery, we recommend contacting a professional cleaning service.
